Mrs. Thywill Eyra Kpe,the. Central Regional Gender Department Director has voiced out words of encouragement to women to speak up and name men that are sexually harassing them by reporting them to the rightful quarters for the law to deal with them.
She explained that, sexual harrasment does not only talks about sex but can also be in many other forms.
“If your employer or co-employee makes an attempt to touch any sensitive part of your body, exposes you to ponographic pictures or videos that makes you uncomfortable, rape etc are all forms of sexual harrasment and must be reported to legal quarters for the law to deal with such people”….She elaborated.
She made these known on the Ewuraba Show,a girl-talk show on Okokroko96.9fm hosted by Abena MzTina
“When a woman speaks up,other victims will also be motivated to speak up then we can name and shame this act for women to take their rightful place in the society”…She said.
In relation to the 2018 International Women’s Day theme, ‘PRESS FOR PROGRESS’, She again entreated all women to come together and campaign against sexual harassment since it hinders women’s progression in the society.
