I did shoe shine to produce my 5 albums in 10 years – Kofi Nyamekye

Doing music in ghana is a big problem nowadays with artistes struggling to get money to finance their music. Some are lucky enough to get support. The story of Kofi Nyamekye, a gospel minister from Kumasi Tafo Pankrono has a tragedy story. He disclosed to Dj Smart during his interview on Life fm 94.3mhz that, he did shoe shine to produce his 5 albums since he started doing music professionally for the past 10 years. Asked whether there has been any interventions of producers giving a helping hand, he stated “No producer in Ghana can come out to say he has helped me. I do everything by myself with the money I made from shoe shine”.
Kofi Nyamekye extended his thanksgiving to DTL which according to him is a big company based in UK. Headed by a man by name Daniel, they show talent and honoured him with the Gospel song of the year 2018 which would have been difficult for him to achieve here in Ghana.
Kofi Nyamekye lost his dear wife last year and he is now living with his 4 children.
Ghana should expert my album before the years ends.
