Mfantseman artist of the year and multiple best rapper award winner, Lokal has been unveiled as a UN Ambassador for Youth and Students for Peace on Tuesday 15th May 2018, at an event dubbed “UNITED NATIONS DAY FOR THE FAMILY” in Achimota, Accra.
The role of the musician is to work with the United Nations to raise awareness about the need for peace among youth and students across the nation.
“He is a young, dedicated artist who is also an optimistic believer.
He believes in the need for tranquility among the youth. These values make him the right person for this role” said one of the organizers.
According to the organisers they believe Lokal has built a lot of following and can really command the youth hence the appointment.
Lokal went viral after his controversial “gods attack” tune that sent most of the country leaders treathening him for cursing corrupt leaders.
He is the Mfantseman artist of the year and multiple best rapper at the Central music awards organised by Candymania entertainment.
The Shock Empire signee and the “god’s attack” hitmaker after receiving the honour showed appreciation and asked for the support of everyone in order to make his journey a success.
