NKUSUKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL DISAPPROVES INSTALLATION OF MR. NICHOLAS BINEY AS ” YAMORANSA MANHEN”

The Nananom of the Nkusukum Traditional Council in the Mfantseman Municipality have disassociated themselves from the recent installation of one Mr. Nicholas BINEY as Yamoransa Omanhen describing the move as illegal, uncalled for and illegitimate since it lacked the blessing and tacit backing of the  sub chiefs, eldership and entire (60) members that constitute the Nkusukum Traditional Council.

This came to light during a Press Conference organized by the Traditional Council at Saltpond over the weekend.

Speaking to journalists, Nana Kwesi Brebo III the Acting president of the NKUSUKUM Traditional Council said the Council had already approved of earlier enthronement of one Nana Kofi Enyin, (a.k.a  Celvin Ewudzie) from the same ” Nguamba Gate” of Yamoransa Twidan Royal Family as OMANHEN of the area which event he said drew pockets of misunderstanding that was pending for final determination in the Cape Coast High Court.

However, he further said the Council took it with a pinch of salt on hearing the installation of the said new Yamoransa “Paramount Chief” Mr. Nicholas Biney and wondered as to how many paramountcy does the area have since they already had someone  in place who is dully recognized by the Council.

This unfortunate development notwithstanding, he said they ( Nkusukum Nananom) were not even represented at the event as they were not notified of it and noted it amounted to a gross disrespect and sought to undermine their authority as a Council, hence, the urgent need for the Press briefing in order to state their neutrality position from such uncultured event occurred at Yamoransa last Sunday.

” I’m hereby therefore want to place on record that the installation of one Mr.Nicholas BINEY as Nkusukum Yamoransa OMANHEN is null and void. In fact, it lacked proper traditional requirements and the public must treat it as not only disdain but also an illegitimate event “

it was held on the blind side of the Nkusukum Traditional Council”. And this is unprecedented in the annals of our enthronement system “, Nana Kwesi Brebo III lamented.
