MP Inspects Ongoing Project At Tema Polyclinic

The Member of Parliament for Tema West Constituency, Hon. Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, has visited the Tema Polyclinic to inspect progress of some projects ongoing at the health facility.

The Member of Parliament who doubles as the deputy minister for Trade and Industries, this year donated an amount of GHc 40,000 cedis to the Tema Polyclinic in fulfillment of a pledge made during the 2016 Election Campaign to help upgrade the polyclinic to a standard health facility.

During his visit, on Wednesday April 25th 2018 to the Polyclinic, he promised among other things to upgrade and equip the Polyclinic with modern equipment.

Among the things the cash donation was meant for, was to get the hospital a modern incinerator and also refurbish the Maternity Theatre for women who go through Surgery during Labour.

Mr. Ahenkora said, his visit was to inspect the progress of the works ongoing at the facility.

“I am here to inspect the progress of the construction of this incinerator because we need it fast to save some situations here since the health of everyone here is important, be it staff or patient” he said.

“But to my surprise, the work has gone faster than expected”. he added.

The Tema Metropolitan Director of Health, Dr. Yabani, on behalf of the entire staff of the Polyclinic, commended  the MP for his continuous support to the facility and pleaded with him for more.

Mr. Carlos Ahenkora also  commended workers of the Tema Polyclinic for their tremendous work for the people of Tema and its environs.

He urged them to serve the people with love and care so as to make the polyclinic a place people would always want to access healthcare.

He assured of helping to upgrade the Tema Polyclinic to a Municipal Hospital.
