Ghanaian dancehall and reggae artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly called Stonebwoy has left Zylofon media including its music section.
According to an insider, the ‘Hero’ hit-maker has terminated his working contract and relationship with the 360 entertainment power house, Zylofon Media.
A major reason for Stonebwoy to part ways with Nana Appiah Mensah’s media company was the fact that Zylofon signed Shatta Wale without informing him and held a meeting prior to signing Shatta Wale to discuss the signing, which they invited almost all those who matter at the label without extending an invitation to him.
Stonebwoy who felt there was a breach in contract since before he signed unto Zylofon media, he was informed that he will be the artiste who will be representing the Dancehall brand on the label.
However, the media house went ahead to sign another dancehall musician, Shatta Wale onto the same label which is a clear breach of that material implied term of their contract.
Well, Zylofon media had their own side of the issue which claimed that Stonebwoy was not promoting the Zylofon brand as much and he carries himself as if he was still an independent artist.
Stonebwoy celebrated his birthday few days ago and made several donations to the needy in Accra but no Zylofon Music team member was present at any of these donations, a clear indication that the departure has been made official.
