- Richmond Owusu, Personal Aid to the Member of Parliament (MP) for Krowor Constituency and Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Madam Elizabeth Afoley Quaye, has debunked news making rounds on some malicious news portals suggesting that his boss ordered for the arrest of three Assembly members of the Krowor Municipality.
The suspects are perceived to be members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) party.
In a telephone interview, Mr Owusu explained that Elizabeth Afoley Quaye has been out of the country since the Christmas holidays, on a task President Akufo-Addo had assigned to her as a minister.
“I don’t know about any arrest of assembly members and my boss is not even in the country since the Christmas holidays, so where and when did she order the said arrest?” he quizzed.
Mr Owusu, by this, entreated Ghanaians and the people of Krowor to disregard the said report and treat it as some of the opposition’s agenda to destruct the progress of development in the peaceful constituency.
