This write throws light on artists based in the Central Region who have worked so hard in 2018. These artist were very visible and were on lots of stages doing what they do best to project the name of the region. This is just to tell these artists that, Central Region expect a lot from them in 2019.

Evangelist IK Anning
A sensational gospel musician based in Breman Asikuma in the Central Region. He broke through the music scene with his hit song Akurugu in 2018 and “Bobolebo” all in 2018. He has since risen to the Ghanaian music apex. This earned him a nomination at the 2018 CMA overall artist of the year. He has also been tipped to win the most popular song in the coming VGMA.

He got signed unto Harbour City Records after pushing his brand single handedly on the streets of Cape Coast. He has a spectacular stage performance which always keeps the crowd yearning for more. He was nominated for 2018 VGMA unsung category. He recently won the overall best artist in 2018 Central Music Awards.


She released 3 hot bangers in 2018 namely, “Fa Me Ko”, “Akyia” and “I want” , that got everyone talking about her. She traveled across the length and breath of the world to perform in 2018. She was invited to perform in Geneva, Switzerland. She won the reggae category at the 2018 CMA and was nominated for the 2017 VGMA unsung category.

He surprised many who taught he would be a one time hitmaker, after his 1corner hit in 2017. He turned things around and continued to shine even in 2018. He is recorded to be one of the most traveled Ghanaian artist who played shows all over the world in 2018. He got got nominated with his highlife tune “Suru Nipa” which got him nominated at the 2018 CMA.

He is one of the biggest artist in Central Region. He won the “Record of the Year” at the 2018 VGMA, Teephlow featured Adina on his single tune “Forgive”. Although the song came late, it did lots of magic. He played lots of great show in and outside Ghana.

After his big song with Nero X “Testimony “, Orkortor Perry concentrated on winning the love of his Cape Coasters . He played lots of big shows in and outside the Central Region and was very visible in the year.

She announced her presence and made lots of noise with her single track enemies.
She appeared on lots of shows and featured on lots popular TVs, radio stations and websites in Ghana. She won the New Artist of 2018 CMA’s . She is currently shooting her enemies video.

A mankessim based rapper and singer. She launched her EP and worked very had with her sensational single Medebehyem . She earned lots of accolades and got many talking in 2018. She graced lots of shows across Ghana and has lots of prospects in 2019.

A dancehall artist based in Assin Fosu in the Central Region. She got spotted due to her strong commanding voice seen by many as a replacement of ebony. She broke boundaries which her single “condemn” after being featured on almost all the popular websites in Ghana

A Gospel Musician based in Agona Swedru. She is talented with a very powerful voice. She featured on almost all the popular live worship shows in Ghana. She has lots of nominations in CMA and win the best gospel artist in 2018 CMA.

Gully Grank
Though a new artist, he kills every stage he mounts. Many said he saved dancehall in the Central Region. He won the best dancehall artist in 2018. Gully grank has made a lot of noise with his breakthrough successful.
