The Akwamuhene of the Abura Asebu Kwamankese Traditional Area who doubles as the Vice President of Abura Asebu Kwamankese Traditional Council,
Nana Nyarko Papagu Mensah IV has
donated five ( 5 ) hospital Beds and
1 Wheel Chair to the Abura Dunkwa District Hospital in the Central Region on Christmas eve.
Presenting the beds to the hospital, Nana Nyarko Papagu Mensah IV revealed, he lost his mother one evening at the same hospital due to inadequate facilities like beds, wheelchairs etc in the hospital. He continued that, he was motivated to donate the items to the hospital to remedy the situation to prevent further deaths.
Surgeon Specialist who received the items on behalf of the hospital director, Dr. Nathaniel Tetteh expressed his gratefulness for the support in equipping the hospital .
He called on the general public and government to assist the Hospital get more beds and improve infrastructure in the hospital so that in future children and females can have their separate wards.
He finally pleaded with the District Chief Executive to complete for them a project to build an emergency ward for them which has been left uncompleted due to lack of funds.
District Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Aba Hagan, expressed her gratefulness for the donation and also appealed for the support of the public and individuals to emulate the gesture.
She charged the hospital to emulate good maintenance culture to expand the lifespand of the beds.
