Eastern Regional GES delay repostings, leave teachers in distress

A number of the newly recruited GES teachers posted to schools in the Eastern Region are still battling hard to retain their recruitment with GES or forfeit the offer as closing date comes to an end tomorrow November 23rd 2018.

According to reports gathered by www.ghananewsalert.com in the Eastern Region, the Eastern Regional GES have locked up letters of teachers who got mismatched subjects, posted to schools to teach subjects they didn’t read and instances where teachers are rejected because that school already have enough teachers for such subjects.

Instead of the Eastern Regional GES reposting teachers according to subjects they studied and only swapping others with mismatched subjects, while reposting teachers from over staffed schools to schools that may need their services , they rather decided to compile the list and take it to the National headquarters for reposting thereby making the process very complicated and leaving most of the teachers with the fear of loosing their appointment which ends Tomorrow 23rd November 2018 after being extended from 16th November .

www.ghananewsalert.com can confirm that, most of the teachers are planning to storm the Eastern Regional Educational Office to demand their repostings if the changes are not done today.

“How can we be tossed up and down, when we have been given appointment?? we shall storm the office and demand for our postings” today.

Others who spoke revealed that “ It has always been their statement, I was there last Friday and they said Monday, so what’s the guarantee? I was also to wait till last week after going there last two weeks?
