The 2018 nationwide Springboard Roadshow tour, which provides personal development, coaching and mentoring for the youth has ended the Western belt section successfully in Cape Coast University in Cape Coast in the Central Region.
The month-long event, which started from the Northern belt in Tamale, followed through to the Middle belt in Kumasi, took it turn on Saturday at the Western belt in Cape Coast university and is expected to be crowned in Accra, the capital of Ghana.
The programme is an initiative of the Springboard Roadshow Foundation, in partnership with Legacy@Legacy and supported by MTN, Ecobank, FirstBanC, Enterprise Life, Personnel Systems and Databank. The theme for this year’s event is: “Leveraging Strategy and Technology.”
Speaking at the event, Sales and Marketing Director for MTN, Mr. Eric Nsarkoh charged the youth to venture into the use of technology to promote and market their works. This why MTN Ghana introduced the App challenge to get more Ghanaian’s especially ladies into creating Apps which is very easy but fetches lots of money.
He congratulated owners of Apps like the Trotro Tractor App, Kumawood App, Ubber App etc and called on more youth to engage in Apps creation as most App owners are very rich and powerful in the world now.
Managing director for First Capital Bank, Mr. Akwa advised the youth to engage in good planning, savings and good investment policies with the little money available as it can grow to bigger amounts in the near future with good planning policies. He further advised the youth to use Data Banking to save money for the future .
The Springboard Roadshow is an annual event organised by the Springboard Foundation to motivate and empower young people. MTN Ghana has been a sponsor of the event for the past years.
This year, the Roadshow has impacted over 20,000 participants directly and millions all over Ghana, providing an avenue for students and young entrepreneurs to improve themselves.
